jalifonso Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 Hello Everyone! Let me start by saying that my connection speed is 1.5mbps download and 256 upload (This is the fastest connection provided by my ISP). Last night i decided to do a speed test before downloading a bittorrent file. When I got the results I almost passed out so i decided to do another and another and another cause i couldn't believe what was happenning. I usually get a 175kbs, last night i was getting over 400kbs and only once i hit 800kbs. Today my speeds are back to normal. At first i thought it was a problem in the speed test but then noticed my bittorrent was downloading at 400kbs, crazy stuff. Does anybody knows what could have caused this to happen. I wish it lasted more hahaha. My ISP is Liberty Cablevison (Puerto Rico)....Here are the downloads: :::.. cdf216 Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 Your ISP was probably doing testing for future speed upgrades. You just got lucky and caught part of it.
