mistkron Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 Ive finally made my way back to this forum after a data loss from a hard disk failure. Im now with a new hard disk and a fresh installation of window xp sp1. 2 days ago, I number of download/upload speed test over here at testmy.net and my speed was a consistant of 200-230 kB/sec for downloads and 40-55kB/sec upload speed. But today, something was amiss and I believed I have not made any changes to my system since then. Speed drop to a mere consistant 40-45 kB/sec and the upload is even more pathetic, it dropped to a mere 14-16kB/sec My provider advertise speed for my connection is "download speed 6.5Mbps (6,500Kbps) and upload speeds of up to 384Kbps" though i normally get 200kB/sec download and 30kB/sec upload but that was pretty good enough. but today is a big problem, i download files really slow and all. my fps game ping was inconsistant, big lags at random. - Results Today - :::.. mistkron Posted December 14, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 speed is returning at the moment, back to the oringinal constant speed. i guess my provider is really getting bad at providing wrongly advertised speed
