Blunted Posted December 22, 2005 CID Share Posted December 22, 2005 well i know you have dsl so how far are you from your central office if you know? i'm 5687 feet from mine which is close so if you can get that it might help us figure out what could be wrong. also did you clean your pc out and make sure you have no spyware, adware or viruses in there and make sure this is the only pc online at the time of testing this. if you have a router try testing it with no router
RaWDiZ Posted December 22, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 22, 2005 I think tha central office might be in Atlanta...and i'm in Albany...about 2 1/2 hours away... and ohh yesss!!!... My computer stays clean of spyware..adware...malware...anything that a ware the computer down!... I've got avg free and kerio firewall...wit all types of spyware...registry...and cleaning ish...so i don't think that will be a major problem involved..and i'm not behind a router... TransEdGe 03 Posted December 23, 2005 CID Share Posted December 23, 2005 Why would you try to tweak " Bellsouth " any higher than what you got , you are lucky to be that close to cap . lol what is the trace route to testmy.net on that lite line?
