I've been getting it alot lately since the new layout.

This is the first time that it happened to me. I use to get other error message. But that was fixed.

This morning as I  was reading the posts at 5:20am EST the server stopped working. I got a page that said that the page can not access the server. I tried everything. I checked other web sites and they worked. So I went to bed. It is 1:40pm and I got back on to ask this question.

What happened?

My big screen TV just died  went to all red screen then shut down. I had to go to a small TV till I get it fixed.  If not then I have to buy a new one. I hope not. 

It is a 50 in. Projection Screen by Toshiba It has been a real good while it lasted.

I bought it a Sam's Club. I bought another and I didn't like it because I couldn't sit close to it with out it being blury, so I took it back and got the Toshiba.

I hope it don't cost to much to fix it.

When I built my computer I built it on the floor that had carpeting and it didn't do anything. I also put more ram in another computer and it didn't do anything either.

My browser is opening slow but I have speeds like this. Whats up?

I called Dway about my browser loadup and it seemed to be fixed. anow it is acting slow again but not as slow as before.

Thats what they made me do. Delete everything in the exception box.

Only on the host computer. You don't need the bypass on.

The other ones you need the proxy bypass on with your network number in the HTTP box with port. This is on the advanced button settings.

I will check out copperhead.cc on networking this weekend. That is when I have more time. I also have it on paper I just have to find it.

What are your tweaks that you use. I don't get those kind of speeds. It would be nice to get them. PLEASE SHARE

I had problems with SatMex5 and I called DWay two times and the second time she had me do all kinds of stuff to make sure that everything was right.

In the internet properties/connections just make sure that the only box that is checked is the use a proxy server for your LAN and in the Advanced under the HTTP is the 127.0.0.1 : 83  and nothing in the Exception box . Then click OK then click OK then click Apply then OK. She also had me restart my computer too.

If you have networking then let me know. There was another way she told me to go to make things back to normal.

All this is because my browser was loading very slow.

But you know I told her that it was acting like the web accelerator was not working right and after we did all that stuff I said at the beginning she said hold on for a min. and she was gone for like 6 to 8 min. and she had me to try to open a web page, and it opened faster. Then she told me to go to DWay to do a speed test. It was very fast she could not believe it. That was funny she couldn't believe it. It is way over the 200kbs that they guarantee.

Would like to apologize for short outburst, but I feel I am defending my right to enquire about information, hope I am not stepping on any toes by wanting to change modems, or what ever they are called.

If you want to spend your money and buy a 4000 and tinker with it, it's your money. I have read that DWay is trying to get rid of the 4000s, to try to make everything more uniform so they can balance things out. Thats why they want to go to the self hosted modems. I think it is just to be in control. Just like every big business.

But if you do change then I will help you set it up, and if you are into networking I can help you on that too.

Even my browser is opening up faster. I told the that I didn't have a problem much with my downloads as I am having problems with my web pages opening very slow. The next thing is that she told me to wait for a min. and then she came back and then told me to open a web page and everything started to open up a lot faster. I new that it was on their end but they would not admit it. They just want you to go through all the diagnostics to see if it is on your end first.

I am glad that every thing is working good now. Now watch,  that I said that everything will going to go to H*LL.

I just got off the phone again with DWay and they put me through the gambit of things to try, and to redo my web set up. After all said and done toke a look at these results.

You been in here long enough to know what is better. You have read a lot on the 4000. and added some comments on some of them.

You can tweak some but not much. Your downloads can get higher but at a sacrafice to your uploads.

I tried to test without tweaks and with tweaks. It showed some improvments on downloads but the uploads were low. But it is different at different times. You can do back to back test and they will be different.

So if you want a more stable and more dependable system then upgrade to a 7000.

I put the HP back on and tested it and look at this it sucks. It must be DWay.

Well it looks like that the dell was slowing my network down. I wonder why?

Last month it was screaming now it is slow. Blows my mind.

Ok, I have a old computer and I am thinking about upgrading the ram to 512 MB SDRam and buy a PCI graphics card, FX5500 (not the real one it is made by a different company) you can find it at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143032

If i get the graphics card, my friend said it will not be able to work to its max because i have a slow processor, do you think i should just get a new computer or just upgrade this computer. I do not mind the speed of it right now, it runs very nicely but just not in video games.

It would be better if you had a new one. But you could build one that you could appreciate.
