Since comcast fixed the line at the pole, my speeds have gone back to what they are supposed to be.
I haven't been hit by the DoD, but I keep getting hit by an IBM server out of N. Carolina. It's been going on for the past two days. The whois search listed it as IBM-1.
My first comp was an old TI 99/4A with the speech synth addon.
My second comp was an old IBM AT portable computer (40lbs., size of a large suitcase) with 256Kb mem and an 8086 processor. It had dual 5 1/4 drives, no hard drive, built-in amberchrome screen, and a flip-down keyboard. The video card did have a CGA out for a color monitor.
Comcast came to fix the problem, now it's even worse....

Ok, I used to like my speeds, now the bite the big one. I'v been having issues for three, maybe four days. My download this morning was 141Kbps, upload was 121Kbps. I already called comcast twice, they think it's a pole issue and will send a tech out on Sat. to check.
So much for having good speeds.....
I guess I am what I am....

Right around my usual.
I had 1GB of mem in my system. But when the old power supply died, it took out one of the mem modules.
And I have a 450 watt power supply in it now
I do plan on getting more ram,a bigger case, and bigger power supply.
