Thank you for responding Yes....I did what rtb said - i just split my rwin in half, didn't really loose any speed at all - might have gained about 100kb/s (download test) and it's all good

I have Cox Communications (Phoenix, AZ) - About few months ago I first started using this website and I love it - for some odd reason my service has gotten slower => these are few tests I ran, and setting I have - my question is: Is it possible to tweak the settings a little bit more, to get some extra juice out of my service

The settings I currently run under (Looked up by using TCP optimizer are as following:
TCP Receive Window 256960
MTU Discovery: Yes
Black Hole Detect: No
Selective ACKs: 2
Max Duplicate ACDs: 2
TTL: 64
I run Win Xp Pro on 2400 Athlon XP with 512mb of ram....Everything is maintained regularly

All I can tell you is that it's true.....Now, more people in your area using cable internet means downgraded speed, but somebody with little more knowledge will elaborate on that

Did you try out using the Speed Guide optimizer ?

These are my settings: (Using a Terayon TJ 715 modem)
MaxMTU is set at 1500
TTL is 64
256960 is the tcp receive window...

Any of you ppl know what is the speed that Cox advertises (Im in Arizona), because I'm getting way bigger speeds then most people that I know ( Thnx to CA3LE - i did spread the word ... And plus, I was talking with one of their techs and they told me I would be lucky if I test in speeds higher than 2mbs in my area.... thank you

CA3LE - dude, whoever you are, thnx a lot.....i cant believe this, i though my tcp/ip settings were optimized, but after this.....just wow....i was getting constant 1.7kbps speeds on testmy.net download test...i just cant believe it...i ran that little optimizer program and check my results out:
