Got the upgrade, but no email telling me about it. Speed has been real stable here (20 miles south of ATL). Using GetRight Download manager I can ususally download at 1MB/s. Very happy with the download speed, just wish they would increase the upload speed. :::.. Welcome to the forum, gekimbrough. Are you wired or wireless? are you connected through a modem or a router? What version of windows and what service pack are you running? Bellsouth SUCKS! Ya, man, ditch dsl for sure. I had the so called 'Extreme' package for a while and it never even lived up to its advertised (lousy) 3mb. Now I have a 6Mb connection for the same price! I've had very stable, reliable, and FAST speeds and would definitely reccomend it. Check it. :::.. You don't ever want to try to run anything High-speed over a usb1.1 connection. It just never quite lives up to a hard wired connection or even a pci or pc-card wireless connection. Wired is definitely the way to go, though.

Just recently upgraded to 6000/768. $10/month is a small price to pay for the extra 2Mb! Hopefully one day we'll cross that 10Mb barrier! :::.. Hmmmm, curious. Maybe you've tried these steps already, but it's worth a shot Have you? Done a hard reset on every piece of gear by powering them down and then back up in order? (modem, router, pc) tried applying identical cablenut settings to each PC? Also, you could Press CTL,ALT,DEL and go to the network monitor when there should be no internet activity to see if your network bandwidth is being used by a background program (spyware maybe) try bypassing the router completely by connecting directly to the modem. Do a complete release/renew of all your connections by clicking repair in the network status dialog box Reset all cablenut settings to windows default hit the pc a couple times with a baseball bat freak out shoot the router Good Luck!
