your speed will get alittle better than a dw6000 with a dw4000. If its your only option for the next 15 months i would do it..Mine is very reliable probably more so than cable but the download speeds are slow and upload speeds crawl alittle faster than dialup

make sure cable is far off they just wired my road with high speed cable....Ive been with d-way 13 months it works most of the time, probably more reliable than cable,,,,but the down speed varies    try to find a dw 4000 on ebay..they are faster and you can save $$$$ on equiptment

If you have other options than d-way i would take them now and cancel d-way before your 30 days are up.  With a dw6000 you will average .8 mb connection down and from 9-56 kb up run while you still can !!!!!!!!!  these are dw 4000 test results for 1:00 pm est.  $59.99 is a hell of a price to pay for this crap.........paying top dollar for less than mediocre service....July i am free to dump these assholes.

Lies Lies Lies dway is  lying the only advantage of the dw6000 besides the 1/2 a meg speed loss is  networking you dont need a host  computer to run your network.  As you noticed they didnt have any reviews from independent sources or the names and email of these people who claim that the dw6000 is superior beware it will be a downgrade for you I average about 1.5 meg connection on an average day and i have seen above a 2 meg connection on a good day.  the dw 6000 will connect at a meg on a good day

As you can see i am 75% faster than the average which would put the average around .85 meg connection  the average for a dw6000 .  stay with your dw4000 if you can

I ve been told that usb cables loose there strenght after 15 feet .  I would stay away from d-way if you have the choice.  But if your like me and dont have any choices except dialup, they are alot faster on download speeds and a little faster on uploads.  I use my dw 4000 to network 5 computers.  If I were you I would cancel my contract with d-way now look on ebay for a dw4000 and save your self hundreds with faster connection speeds.. It is a proven fact the dw4000 connects almost a meg faster than the dw6000. configuring a network is alittle harder but well worth it.

I like firefox but i have had some trouble with my bookmarks disappearing.  So i use both until firefox improves

I have 3 routers two of them are belkin one a one g they always need to be reset  " they suck,"  The netgear rarely gives me any trouble

Yea I bought it outright i couldnt afford 100 a month for internet access they gave me alittle trouble in the beginning but they wanted the 60 bucks a month..I have seen the reverand post some tweaks for direcway dw6000 and a very interesting article too about direcway using 6000 on there end and there uploads and downloads suck too.

You guys are getting terrible speeds are you all running the dw 6000 are you all on the same sat .  Ive been a direcway customer for almost a year I bought a dw 4000 private sale for 100 cash if the 6000 dl are that slow I would look into a 4000 on ebay or look through the classified .

my signal is 79 on a clear day Im on g11 1350 I live in the north east the only time my dish goes out is when there is weather in md and in vt...

ive been through some big snow storms up here and still had sat....

My dish is ungrounded will this help me with speed???? if i do it and where do you recommend grounding it to the dish or transmitter or coaxle or all three and how long of a rod in the ground I have some 12/3 wire hanging around will this do the trick
