I have had my system for a couple of months now and after reading the boards I have several questions. I am on the Pro plan using the IA8 (89 West) and frequency 1150. Receive and Transmit Polarization are both horizontal. My signal strength is between 68 and 70 on a regular basis. Here is the speed test taken earlier and I should note that there was a fairly heavy snow storm happening at the time here.

Other then high use hours my upload speeds are generally 150-190 range and downloads are consistant to the above.
So after reading these postings I feel like I am setting pretty good compared to a lot of other posters comments on speed etc. I might also add that I don't think I have had a clear day yet to test. It has been cloudy here for weeks. Any comments?
Here are some questions I have. I read some folks talk of powering the modem up. Am I supposed to shut it off? How do I do that short of unplugging it?
Does everyone use a proxy server or do some of you bypass it? The reason I ask is because after some problems with DW's home page I was instructed to change the port and HTTP settings by DW. I did that and things worked fine. The problem for me here is that when I reboot, somehow, the proxy settings are changed back to the original settings, I guess from the installer. Things still working on the old settings, but can I bypass the proxy server and is there a benefit?
Thanks for all of the tips and comments-they have been very helpful to this newbie-yes I live in the sticks with a lot of sky!
