Old IBM PCs had floppy disk drives, instead of the CD and DVD drives that are common today.

The May-December marriage of a young company called Microsoft and business powerhouse IBM would change the landscape of offices and homes across the globe.

August 12 is the 25th anniversary of the IBM personal computer launch, a pairing of MS and DOS, Microsoft and the disk operating system.

Cox, Cebridge Announce Closing of Sale of Certain Cox Assets

ATLANTA AND ST. LOUIS - Cox Communications, Inc. and Cebridge Connections today announced the closure of a transaction for the sale of certain Cox Communications cable television system operations to Cebridge. Cox selected Cebridge for the opportunity to purchase the cable systems after a bidding process, and the two companies announced their definitive agreement for the purchase in November 2005.

Included in the transaction are Cox's systems in West Texas, serving Lubbock, Midland, Amarillo, San Angelo and Abilene areas; North Carolina, serving Greenville, Rocky Mount, New Bern and Kinston areas; Humboldt County and Bakersfield, California; and much of Middle America Cox (MAC), primarily comprised of operations in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. MAC also includes certain systems in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Missouri. Excluded from the sale are some MAC operations serving Northwest Arkansas and Lafayette, Louisiana areas.

  4. For personal experience I should say the hardest part is not when you are going deploy is before you actually deploy and when you come back is also one of the most difficult times specially with the little one. When you are gone for  2-3 month you come back and you are a stranger to your kids even that they see your picture on the wall or they see you on the PC screen every day but they don't actually see you physically. When I got back I took my son about 2 weeks to get used to be with me around again.

  5. well basically you can buy anything for PC except for motherboards and CPU

but on my local Wal-Mart you can buy video, sound card, DVD burners HD, power supply to name a few on  my next visit I will try to make a more complete list on what they have w/ brand and price

Look on the bright side, example your video card goes bad at 3:00am you just go to Wal_mart and get a replacement for about $60-$70 and keep on trucking
