I have the same exact problem in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Than try Unplugging your modem for 5 mins and plug back in. See what results you get.

unplugged for 5 minutes at least..

using 12 meg test

remember this is on a P4 at 3.8 GHz 1 gig PC4000 ABIT IC7 Dual raptors...etc....

Windows install in spring with Spybot and Adware run weekly....

Yes I run through a netgear wgt624 on a 10/100 card .............

I used to run speedguide tweaks back in the days of 98...but since xp I dont find they help much..

I was in no way trying to start an argument with the immature member of the forum, which name I will not state, I simply threw in a picture of my PC, in which I was in no way bragging about, which I stated in one of my reply posts to him, I was simply just posting the picture for the reason of posting it, nothing else.

Generally its best to have fresh wire from the pole......

I tend to run my own drop when I move....( I have a spool of messenger wire left over hehe)..

I cant tell you the number of times I was amazed at someones barely alive computer, ( they always sign up for HSD thinking you will fix their PC for them while you are at it, believe me, ......  after I ran a new drop with proper wiring to the modem, just rip right to the cap for all the bw they are supposed to get......
