  1. Seriously I dont know anymore. I think my router is just dumb but am not sure. I am getting pretty irretated. Can you guys with fios please send me your default settings for fios. Load it with cablenut and then save it and send it. I will REALLY appreciate it. No offence VanBuren I think your stuff works I just want to start over. Thanx
  2. Well I am still a noob in tweaking broadband. But I played around with the default send window. I made it 500000 then I also made my globalmaxwindowsize also to 500000 Basically I made everything to do with tcp window size to 500000. I am going to delete all tweaks and then play around with the numbers. But setting that number definitely increased my up speed.
  3. The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet What does this mean????
  4. Here is a couple of things I am going to do. I am going to play around with my Rwin number. I played with it last night and I pushed my upload speed from 1.97mb/s to 2.17mb/s. What is the max number I can put for it? other suggestions to what I can change? Then if I still dont get It I am going to Do your Idea Ronnie. The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet What does this mean????
  5. Ronnie I tried that but to no avail. SuperG03 I did that also only to get an even worse score. I'm still looking into router settings. Should my linksys router be set as a gateway or router? I have it as Gateway. Here is the link you want. http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:a2eff0?service=dsl&speed=9999&os=winXP&via=routerpppoe I tried their setting but I have now even worse test scores. I am fully convinced it is settings.
  6. Well king cobra I did what you suggested but my speed is not up to standard. Im pretty sure it is just a setting. Even though verizon is trying they still havnt been able to find my problem
  7. I too think that this problem is with my network settings. I set it up to have my dlink first and then the linksys. The linksys using DHCP and DLINK PPPoe. Still I get crappy speeds. I also updated my registry settings with your new cablenut settings. Then I changed the recieve window to 307824 but still the same. Ever heard of a website called miranda? Its is run by the government. http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/ Anyway here is my stats for those tests too. :::.. 8. when I use the Dlink I get it pretty stable. The thing is just that my upload speed is so stable it stays at 1.98mb/s everytime but my dl will fluctuate alot. I could understand if by 1 mb/s but not by more than that. Im going to try the new Rwin. could you pls enlighten me as to what this does?
  9. Hi I have the very fast FIOS 15000/2000 fiber optic line. Van Buren I loaded your version 6 for cable nut. I run this line through a linksys wireless G router directly. Now here is my problem. I think it is my router that is not configured right. My speeds fluctuate between 14.38Mb/s and 6Mb/s But my upload speed is constant at 1.98mb/s. This fluctuation is irretating the crap out of me. Is there any other Rwin nr's thats better? I called fios help line and twice I got different numbers. I am overall happy with my service. BTW I have 3 computers on the network and the signal is excellent. Thanx for the help. :::..
