There might be an IP conflict, try to set the IP of the other computer to static then use an IP different from yours. If you want to set one PC to static IP then it might be better to set all to static to avoid IP conflict wherein both PCs have the same network IP.

Besides, even though the plan only offers 799 per month, it does not offer unlimited access per month for 384kbps. I am sure Globe and PLDT offer better services.

You may want to check for the 6200 video card, its price is good but if you are willing to spend, try 7200 (i think it is 7200GS). more expensive but you may want to check it out.

there's a lot of factors why even a pldt mydsl user experiences a slow down. viruses, trojans, spywares, junk files, wrong tweak settings and even his line wire could be a cuprit. hope he found a solution coz as far as i know, pldt mydsl is far better than smartbro.

Or it could also be the area. A lot of myDSL users I know here in Zamboanga have problems with the P999 plan. But the P1995 works like a charm ^^

256MB video RAM? Well, that explains the price  nice card though, i just wish we have it here in my area in the philippines

Here's mine... using openDNS and PLDT 512Kbps connection...

I don't mean to be a party pooper, but it is about one of my best friends. When he applied for PLDT myDSL 512kbps plan which costs P999 per month, he got the same speed that you have for a few weeks. Then his speed started to fall down to 350+ kbps and sometimes even 100kbps with the tweaks and with a lot of connectivity issues.

He tried calling customer service and well... You might have guessed it... "Sir, i-check lang po namin ang connection ninyo, mga within 24 hours, maayos na po yan." Translated: "Sir, we will check on your connection and we will try to fix it within 24 hours."

After about 2 weeks... NOTHING HAPPENED!

His internet connection is still very unstable. Far worse than my smartbro connection. I just hope that this won't happen to you.

talking about their service, they should improve it for EFFICIENCY.

same here after my contract is finished im changing to globe broadband, i hope the new wired 1.5 Mbps package is available in my area, for only 995 you get 1.5 Mbps! too bad it will end 31st of dec i hope they will extend it more! coz my contract ends april 2008

Don't worry. I've heard something that all the base stations will undergo expansion. They will just prioritize all congested base stations with several complaints. As far as I know, they've already expanded some base stations in Bulacan, Cavite and some part of Laguna. More to come guys.. Let's try to understand them, Base station expansion is not that easy..
