yeah actually i have both but i i un-installed avast, i thought avg is lighter.. although i really liked the avast feature's and beautiful interface, i'll switch back to avast.

thanks buddy, will try that. i also called smart to come again and fix my connection. i think i'm getting very bad signals.perhaps over time the bay station that i was aligned with is now congested. yup i removed zonealarm as i've heard there were a lot of issue's regarding that. my current setup is now: Firewall : Comodo Anti-Virus : AVG Free and counterspy for anti-spyware thanks again!

hi silver green, if you have no other choice in your area then by all means go with smartbro. but plenty are having problems with it. like intermittent connections, and really bad customer service. but sometimes, it's quite fast. you'll be learning to tweak alot that's for sure hehehe

oh to add info, i have also added the gateway ip address and dns servers ip address in the zone alarm trusted zone.. i have also used the calculator for cablenut and used 1500 mtu, and 384 kbps download speed and 192 upload speed. don't know the advertised upload speed as smartbro didn't say anything about it.. they just mentioned burst speed upto 384 kbps 7x faster than dial-up.. the latency i put 305 absolute maximum from dcp latency checker.. so i don't really know if the infos i added are correct thanks again guys...
