250-460Kbps with no tweaks or whatsoever.
its just pure basestation randomness.XD
@everyone reading this - guys, if you know a good dns server other than opendns please tell me. and other proxies also.
*Reminder to Everyone: whatever you do, if your basestation sucks, everything will be FUTILE.
i think you're half correct.
imagine this, if your basestation gives you a nice speed, but you computer is not tweaked/configured to handle such speeds satisfactorily, you will have poor connection.
this works in vice versa, if you're computer is tweaked, but the basestation is faulty, you will still have poor connection.
in order to have a good connection, you need a good basestation and good tweaks.
p.s. i don't use proxies too.

you're lucky to have decent speeds without using tweaks.

that, my friend, is a grounding device for the canopy in case of thunderstorms.
although i have a theory that it might work if you use you override plug there, you really shouldn't risk it in case you damage your canopy.
you have to go to your roof and take your canopy, in the canopy, there is a cap/cover that you must remove in order to expose the port, where you will use your override plug.

another OT: ohh my, there's a new "apple of the eye" for my friends here

hey coolbuster, you got promoted to master and you didn't tell me!?!? we should drink to that!
jk :grin: :grin:

we've had a lot of cases where the subscribers doesn't even know their own username and password. just shows how sloppy those contractors work.
-
aha! i see it has emanated from flashbaby's post?
great work sherlock jk :grin:

Hi there ExtremeFusion. Just wanna thank you for the message you sent. You are not just a good young man, you are also cute. Anyways, I followed your instructions and my speed got better. I saw it is ranging from 320 to 400 Kbps, I just do not know how to post the result. Will learn to do it eventually.
You guys here are great. I have read the posts of Gourame, Frostbound and Coolbuster2007. They share their knowledge and it helped me a lot that even my girl classmates wanted to meet them.
you know,we could always schedule a meeting among us smartbro subscribers here in tmn. you have thought of that before, right coolbuster?

you need to insert the override default plug direct onto the canopy device. if you open your canopy device you will see the rj-11 female port inside your canopy. if you already made a override plug just simply plug in there and boot your canopy as normally boot like normal booting or opening your computer pc. then read the rules and follow the guide on the first page and enjoy.
anyways sir about this you mention i think it is the old box correct me if i'm wrong cause if your using a canopy box you will have a canopy box and the motorola adaptor direct connect to pc no need to use those old adaptor or hub or what will be the name of that box.
will w8 for the other master will answer your question. for now that my personal opinion.
that's correct. i don't know if there are other models of the canopy, but i think there should be a removable cap/cover on the canopy. if you remove that, there you will see the rj-11 port.

F@CK!
i guess it's goodbye again jun101ph.

hmmm that being the case..
isn't there any device that could amplify or could further enhance the reception of the signal from the ap's to our canopy?
or in other say, a device that wouldn't just limit our canopy to a "direct line of sight" reception method.
In simple theory, focused and contrated signal on our canopy means stronger stable connection.. Am i right or wrong?
hmm, you mean, something that would change the "direct line of sight" reception to say, a "radius" reception?
i don't think that is possible, since it is in the canopy's design. a sattelite dish connected to the canopy only improves range, and a stinger only reduces air noise.

don't mind that. i told you i was just kidding.

when i saw you were online, i figured you would do something like this . you always make me feel good momma t

this are the initials of some of the members here in tmn
CB ------> CoolBuster2007
SB_U ---------> smartbroken_user
SC --------> SiraComputer
EF --------> (it's probably me... hahaha )
Gour -------> Gourame
how come i'm not included in there?? jk :grin:
-
smartbroken_user, that kind of attitude isn't helping anyone.
I've read somewhere that "fighting on the internet is like winning in the special olympics. you may be the winner, but you're still retarded."
(sorry about the "retarded" reference.)
-
yes, that's right. anyway,
The bickering in this thread needs to stop, now. I mean it. Coolbuster and Smartbroken you two need to get along or just ignore each other. Stop acting like 5 year olds. If it doesnt stop I will stop it for you. So I suggest you pm each other, work it out and get over it. Your both good members here, but we dont need drama queens and stiring of the S#!t pot.
i apologize on their behalf.

:haha: that is amazing... "yeh man im buying my gf some more memory..hopefully she'll get stuff done faster"
btw, if your gf reads that...blame it on shug.
that is exactly what i'm planning to do when that happens. :grin:
-
i think i'll be buying her some more memory.
-
uhh, is there a spotlight for her to steal? :cheesy:

hmm, i agree. looks like it's a dns/proxy issue. if you're using dns or proxy, testmy won't recognize that you belong to "smartbro.net" category
i believe what that graph means, is that in the category 241.176, all the users that tested there average a speed of 670Kbps, while in the "smartbro.net" category, all the users average a speed of 260Kbps.
therefore,if you're score is 322Kbps, you're speed is only 48% of the average if you're under 241.176.
but if you're under smartbro.net, you're speed is 123% of the average.

trojanvirus, you're not from STI, are you? that "POOF, it became koko crunch" line went in fashion in STI sometime ago.

when you say nothing happened, you mean all the tweaks you found here didn't help? maybe it's your basestation at fault.
