I've been experiencing 400+++ speed this whole week!! Hope it lasts forever...

oh yes. scriva has been blessed with consistently fast speed. maybe time to share some inputs huh?

ok, what i did that i think that gave me a lot of speed was when i did a lot of cleaning in my system, defragmenting files, scanning for viruses and using tcpoptimizer.

There's no secrets at all since many of the tweaks have already been posted here.

I emailed Smart yesterday about my no connectivity thing and in that e-mail i inluded some of what was in my conversation with its rep. (the one who told me to buy a new lan card). And in their reply they told me that they did not call me yet. WTF!!! Then who was I talking to?

Did you save a system restore point?

Using system restore is a must when you're tweaking because you don't know what will happen to your connection after tweaking.

If you didn't do system restore, you might want to try pressing the "Delete CableNut Tweaks" button.

or maybe it must be the ap because there are a lot of users when it's raining.

about the no connection thing if its raining hard: are you far from the base station? if yes, heavy rains can affect speed but does not disconnect your signal from the base station. did you check you lan wire for exposure which might cause it to short when wet?

No, the base station is just near my house, I can see it's like 3 or 4 blocks away. I also don't think that it's the lan wire because it's well sheltered from getting wet.

but if I would want to change my lan card to a better one, what would you recommend?

yes tmn has helped me a lot and i thank you guys for that. My only problm now is the "Limited or No Connectivity" thing that usually lasts for 5 mins and more than 2 hours when it's raining hard.
