what the??.. you guys are comparing specs now? at 3:00 am? get some sleep!

anyway, i won't be sharing my specs, don't want to humiliate myself.

and also, reformatting should be your last resort. when things go wrong, you should just revert to a previous, safer setting. that's what back ups and system restore are for.

@ SiraComputer - about those trial period expiration, you could find a way around it. you mentioned before that you download torrents, try to be resourceful. i don't approve of that method though. for me; its free, or leave it be.

    Seems like it but i enjoy reformatting once in a while, probably my best way to get rid of those programs i don't use and overlooked! Plus it's like an overall cleaning!  My pc is the 3rd thing i love next to my kids and hubby!

It would be the last option if all else fails! Fresh registry and a clean file structure

sometimes i reformat every 3 weeks coz of some application nearing their expiration! He he he

@dudeBRO2k7: Same thing as mine until i tweak my setting and poof 500-600+ kbps, even if i got the result of 400+kbps i still can DL 70kb/s - 80kb/s 

Well just a word of advice "If others can do it, Also can you" as coolbuster said PATIENCE is the key! I've been cleaning, defraging, tweaking, rebooted 40+ times  until i got the right settings for me! And if you get a hang of it..., it's kinda addicting  He He He!

Ummm... How can i measure the distance of my location from the base station?

I feel kinda silly with that question but i practically don't have any idea about it!
