But anyway, any of those site is a valid smartbro domain. the portal.smartbro.net is just a subdomain of smartbro. they can create another subdomain under smartbro.net that will still be valid site of smartbro.

One thing you should do if you assembled your computer is to take them all apart and put it back together part by part. First thing is put the memory module/s, turn on the computer if it beeps or successfully boots up successfully. If it does, then put the next piece. Example, the hard drive, then turn your computer on again. Do the same process until you put all your peripherals back. This is the only way if you don't have an extra motherboard to test if one of your peripherals is damaged or defective and/or if you don't have tools to test your motherboard if it's defective or not. It's quite tedious but this might help.

you might still have some trojans which is not detected by your antivirus software. try the bitdefender online scan at http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html I have used the AVG antivirus home edition before and there were plenty of viruses and malicious files which was not detected. If you're going to use the online scan of bitdefender, make sure to make the window smaller as possible and move it out of the way of your working area because once the scan starts, you won't be able to move the window unless you abort the scanning or until the end of scan.

Hi there. Is it possible that the test results from testmy.net be manipulated by the ISP? Because I am wondering that my upload result exceeds the test limit result and I am getting this message: "Sorry, your score of 132115 Kbps is over TestMy.net's max of 100000 Kbps. It is very doubtful your connection is faster than 100000 Kbps... Please RETEST" I only get this test result on testmy.net but on other sites, the results are pretty consistent. This is the first time that I encountered this message.

I am not sure what's going on with the TMN. Sometimes, I get higher speeds but lately, my speed registers like below 500 Kbps. And these results are very inconsistent to some of my speed test sites. I have bench marks for each test sites and they are still pretty consistent. After this new server, the TMN test results are quite not consitent. And one thing, I got this message just an hour before I got into this section: Connection Problems Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later. And sometimes, I get a php error when I run the test. Is the installation to the new server not done yet? Thanks a lot. By the way, this is still a great site though.

I do believe that the US government has something to do with the event. Based on the facts and information, there are many questions unanswered. Won't you wonder why the US government is not answering those questions? Why are there too much secrecy behind the 911 incident? This is too much of a coincidence, isn't it? Some conspiracy theory are quite stupid on the first place. e.g. the moon landing. But September 11 si another story. I was in Japan when that happened and since seeing only the video on television during that day, made me think a few questions. Since I don't speak japanese, everything I saw on tv was just an assumption. That was just my initial question and after digging on to some reports, I concluded somehow that this is not just part of terrorist attack, that somehow, there's an inside "inside job". You should check the settings on your vista. Go to control panel then click the "sound" icon. If you have lists of sounds available, you should test each one which one works. In my case, I have 2 audio sources and I was confused at first why my audio worked only on the back panel but not in front. That's how I discovered that on vista, you should check your settings manually coz sometimes, the default configuration doesn't work very well.

hahaha. don't mention about smartbro. This always makes me laugh about the smart's idea of "wireless broadband". This is the only wireless that you're still wired inside your house or you can't connect to the net at all. In US, when you say wireless, your PC or laptop is equiped with the card that can receive signals for you to connect to the internet. This is some sort of wireless router but it is transmitted directly by the provider through a site or a repeater and not from your local "wireless" router

the test must be in favor on their side but I have benchmarks on the other speed test sites that I have. I know I am getting different speeds on each sites that I take but taking notes on how fast it registers at this particular hour for each of those test sites will give you a rough estimate of how much speed you are getting and comparing it to your ISP's speed test. On this case, I get similar speed on my ISP's speed test site with only a minimum variation all through out the day. I am quoting this coz no matter what time of day it is, whether I feel that I have a slow or fast connection, PLDT still registers a very high speed. And I think they are manipulating their speed test results.

Are you using Vista? I have the same problem on vista and I tried the microsoft's "help" but it doesn't work. I guess, it's another bug of vista. As we all know, vista is the worst version of windows.

I agree with you beware187. I have been paying P3000 for my DSL but I only get "acceptable" connection only early in the morning like 3 AM to 7 AM and beyond that, my high speed is as slow as a dial up. I ordered PLDT to adjust what they charged on my DSL until they resolve the problem. One funny thing is, on PLDT play, no matter what time of day (whether you have high or slow connection) it registers very high speed. And when you call the tech support, they will tell you that the PLDT play is somewhat accurate and is backed up by the speedtest.net singapore server. I find this one very fishy though because, only Singapore server backs the PLDT play's speed but the reset of the speed test that I took from other servers are very consistent each time I get a very slow speed. I think, PLDT is trying to rip it's customers off by saying the customers' get the speed they applied for by manipulating their speed test. I have been in battle with PLDT since July of 2007 to deliver me at least the minumum speed of of what they advertise which is 70% (guaranteed speed) of 5 Mbps at that should be 3.5 Mbps speed that I should be getting on my end. But until now, my speed all through out the day is just only about 300 Kbps and that is way slower of the minimum guaranteed speed. I already filed a complaint against the PLDT to DTI and I am also filing another complaint to NTC.
