I was wrong I ran chkdsk again and it still seems there are errors in the file system and it doesn't seem to be able to change them any ideas on this?

should i attempt those tweaks again now?

sry I took so long to get back to you I did as you suggested and it did find a or several problems with the file system and fixed them on the reboot assuming that is now fixed thank you very much for the advice
