Ive got a drive in near me too

Its not just "eye candy" its far more secure. Almost as secure as OS X. Vista is well worth $200 bucks.
-
No movie theaters use DVD, HD-DVD, or Blu-Ray, they don't have the resolution. There are theaters now that use digital stacks. The movie is basically kept on a hard drive so it can be moved around easily.
-
Movie theaters use cinema resolution, its 8 mega pixels. HD DVD and Bluray is only 2 Mega Pixels. Film will always be better quality, right now getting 33 mega pixels out of film is no problem, And it can go higher.

LOL, ive seen people pay $100,000 for a 90in TV. $150,000 for a projector.
-
they will be out the end of this year. And they shouldnt cost that much when compaired to a LCD or Plasma because they are really cheap to make.
-
they are not all over price. $24000 for a 60in plasma is way over priced.
-
OLED will last forever. Got a IPOD, it has a OLED screen. the problem was they couldn't make them big enough. But that is fixed, a Hitachi/samsung guy showed is a 50in OLED SED TV and it was fucken beautiful. WQXGA display (in case you don't know thats 2560
-
that doesnt really work too well. OLED is the way too go Twice the res. of the current stuff.
-
they are better because the will last alot longer. But they are about 1/2 as bright. and the corner problem that i said above is more viable on a LED rear projection. And alot of people are having problems with them because they are new.
-
The biggest problem with rear projections is the bulb lasts 2000 hrs Max and most of the time its around 1500 hrs, at around 500-800hrs it goes to 1/2 brightness, so now your crappy looking picture looks even more crappy, and then you gotta pay $250-$350 for a new bulb. And good luck if you can find one if your TV is more then 2 years old. It has been a nightmear trying to find these for people if the TV is more then 2 years old, espically on sony TV's The next biggest problem with rear projection is your taking a rectangle screen and shooting it with a round bulb. Now any one that has ever shot a flash light on a wall knows that its the brightest in the center and gets darker as you go out from center. Well the same thing happens in a rear projection tv, you get edges that are quite a bit darker then the center, epically the corners. It makes for a very ugly image. We will never use a rear projection in any of our theaters because of this problem. let me guess he bought monster cables, No offense or anything but if you pay $10,000 on wiring your fucken nuts. We wire up 1/2 million dollar theaters for less then 1/2 that, and these rooms are bigger then most people houses. I wont even comment on putting bose in a home theater. But were i come from thats a big no, no.
-
Good point. if you have regular cable tv then you will need one with a NTSC/ATSC tuner. if you want to go HD your going to have to get a HD tuner no matter what.
-
:2funny: ah its part of the job. Ive installed more TV's then computers and ive been doing computers since i was like 6 years old There is some really cool shit coming around this year so if you can wait, wait.
-
Thats not bad, westinghouse is very good. and a 42" for 1000 is very good.
-
the reason is no one makes small plasmas, and they can't get the resolution when they are that small. LCD gets very expensive when you go big. A 50in LCD will be anyware from $500 - $2000 more then a 50in plasma and it will look just about the same.
-
Not any more. Plasmas have gotten much better. There is no more burn in. We leave the same image up on ours that we install for months at a time with out turning them off and never get any burn in. 3 years ago yes not any more. on LCD's ghosting is just about gone on all. Most displays are now 2-4ms g2g and 3-5ms g2b2g and you can't see it at all. Hitachi and Samsung actually have a 0ms display. When you choose between plasma and LCD it should only be because of size. higher then 42in go plasma, 42in and below go LCD.
-
its been like that for awhile. LCD's and plasmas prices drop very slow. And real high end ones only drop when an even better one comes out. Rear projection has had major price dropes in the last few months. But stay away from them.

thats not apache, thats apache 2 triad.
-
apache is the fastest, and most reliable.
-
it just something that can happen, try this test http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=000-2&out_src=20MB

I think advance web server would be the best. VoIP PBX would be nice tho it might be a little advance.
-
ok thats just wrong. I don't get how people use a computer with all that crap around. I know my desk at work isnt clean but there isnt food and hair all over it.
-
you can not get bigger then 20mb on a mirror right now, Ive tried from 40mb to 100mb and you get very inaccurate results. When ca3le finishes the next version of the test this should be fixed. I want bigger files too, and i would be willing to host them ive got plenty of bandwidth.
-
:haha: i wish. I'm in the shop and on job sites alot. and dealing with servers and desktops that full of god knows what because they haven't been turned off or opened in 2 years LOL.
-
no it doesnt get bigger, its 100mbps always. If everyone tested at the same time there would be problems. I would hope that as people get faster and faster connections he would provide bigger files. I'm a graphics artist. I design home theaters in 3D max, and build them.
