comcast is going to make a switch on there new new plans once they get started changing all the adelphia costomers over to comcast. people on the 4mb/384kb plan plan are going to 8mb/2mb and people on the 6mb/768kb plan are going to 14mb/4mb plan. I know this because i know a high up rep. who works for comcast, they are doing this because Verizon Online FIOS is going to almost everyware in the next year to 2 years so comcast wonts to get the speed close to verizon online. how many of you bellsouth DSL users are sick and tired you getting your ass kicked in speed by the cable internet users well, bellsouth has alredy started to upgraded there equipment to give its customers a speed boost. They will still offer 3 plans, but they will be much faster. below is the upgrade plan for there services. current plans to new plans 256/128KBPS to 3MB/384KBPS 1.5MB/256KBPS to 6MB/768KBPS 3.0MB/384KBPS to 9MB/3MBPS you will start to see the speed increase in mid july and it will be final by late october.

you need to find out if thats a winmodem or a promodem a winmodem uses the processor a promodem has its own processor so its noticably faster.

i am using the dlink DCM-202 and i live it i hade a motorla that i rented and it clows compared to this dlink modem and the dlink have the downstream seperate form the upstream so i can download and upload full at the same time.

depends on what kinda copy of xp it is if its a copy from dell, gateway, alieanware, Falcon NW, or a good manufactor like that then its gonna be a real copy of xp stright from microsoft just with a different label. But other manufactors use a OEM copy of xp that will only work on that specific computer , like a HP/compaq compy of xp will only work on a hp/compaq computer. for example my dell server came with a real copy on xp it just says dell all over it. but it will work in any computer and there is no cd required for it to install or regester. just make shure what kinda copy of xp you have.
