Dickheads... The one time I actually give MS some info about myself willingly, and they screw me. A 16mb pen drive is still 16megs of stuff to carry around. They should have kept a tally when people were signing up for this promotion and cut it off when they ran out. It looks like they had like 10 to give away anyway.

I suppose the only good thing about the new wildblue fap is you actually are not limited for the rest of the month if you do go over. I still think it's much better than Dway's 400mb over a few hours policy that they have. I'm still able to download a 1 gig file at a time if I feel that's what I want to do. It suits my purposes just fine. I'm sure once I get fapped, I'll change my tune though.

Wildblue claims that they email you once you reach 90% of your upload or download FAP limit.

Mine blinks all the time... I've never had a problem related to it. The speed bursts are great... I've seen over a megabyte per second... even 2 or 3. More often that not, about 700Kbps...

I don't think it will work... You need like 100kbps up for it to even work. As much as their speeds fluctuate, it would cause a problem. Also, satellite has high latency. (600ms to 1000ms) compared to cable or DSL (10ms to 40ms) I tried Packet8.net with my Wildblue connection and it wouldn't work. My upload speed is between 200-240kbps.

I have a band, so we need some noise. I practice my drums in there. I have my computer hooked up there so I can get it loud enough to hear if I want to play along with something. The amp head you see in the picture pushed 600 watts. I have another head that does like 800, for when I want to bi-amp it with a crossover. There's other things I have that I don't leave set up in the living room... like a compressor, subs, etc... It's really cool to play madden nfl with, though..

Wildblue's FAP used to be per calendar month.. so if you messed up and went over on the 20th, you'd have to wait until the 1st to get back up to browsing speed.

Interesting.. they changed from making it effective 1/1/06 to 3/1/06 They had already changed it... now they changed it back... WTF The changes were reflected in my usage settings on their panel... weird

:evil: Uploads are now 5gb per rolling 30 days, downloads are only 17gb per rolling 30 days. They were 22gb down/6gb up. What's next... 100mb a day, like what I just left??!?
