  4. ok on one pop its called aurora, here is the website they tell me to go to uninstall it, can some one check it out and see if the steps are safe, so i dont accidently mess up my pc, the web site is www.MyPCTuneup.com/aurora here is a copy of the pop up were it says Click here to uninstall
  5. no it didnt work, i still get popups and my computer is driving my nuts, i feel like throwing it away. and i dont wanna format my pc either. i tried xoftspy and so far it took some out that other adware didnt detect, but there is something funny happening, while its scannin the cpu is at 100% and then after like 2 min it shuts down, and before it shuts down the fan goes wild its loud. i dont knw what wrong.
  6. ok i tried all of that, and guess what when i did the scan in safe mode it detected nothing, so i just restarted it and a lot of popups came out, and i did a scan and it found like 5 one was: shopathome popup searches trojan/combo aurora and the other one was a tracking cookie
  7. ok ill try that right now.
  8. ok ill try all of that right now, but one more thing what is safe mode, what does it do??
  9. were can i get webroots, and how can i scan from safe mode. and i dont wanna format my pc, cause i have too much music that it would take me a lot to back up all that.
  10. i tried adware personal from lavasoft it detects them but the spyware keeps coming back everytime i restart my computer
  11. ok i was using my computer when i was downloading a program, i tried to open it, but it never did, so then all of a suddent my antivirus starts going off, saying would you like to install this, which is a severe risk hazerd, and i put remove. then sfter a while i restarted my computer, and i ran a scan for spyware, and it found a lot, you would think that it deleted them, NOPE pop ups began to pop up. i dont knw what to do, one virus is called shopathome and the other one is called classified 47 something, im not sure. any programs that will delete that sucker. this is a list of programs that i have used to delete the virus or spyware: norton internet security spykiller noadware bugdoctor ccleaner scan software microsoft anitvirus adware personal
  12. hey so why dont ehy put it back, cause people that have dial up it takes them longer than other ppl with broadband, and for dial up ppl get really bored just seeing the bar move very slowly, so it would make it more interesting to see how there speed changes and how low it actually gets. plus its KOOL
  13. ok i was thinking when ur doing download tests, on the bar it says like 20 then 50 then like 100 percent done, well now i think you guys should put the speed of ur download rate as it does the test so u get an idea, on how fast ur connection starts, to how low you end up

  16. yes that was on a dw6000, and yes size does matter, ok to put it in easy terms, if u have a huge gigantic dish that was half a mile long, and this other guy had a 17" dish, and both of u had the same internet company, who do u think would have the best speeds, the big dish or the small, no think teh big dish is able to receive more information, and the small dish is only able to receive so much u cant compare it to a big dish so yea dish size does matter, but like i said speeds can vary.

  19. no im running a consumer account, i wish i had buisness, one more things speeds can also vary by dish size. one inch in dish size can really do a lot.
  20. yes dw6000 is capped at 1mbps, the max i have ever gotten is 146kb/s but usually i get around 124kb/s so anything is possible. yea dont try it for dw4000 cause i dont know much about 4000, only thing i know is that its cappable of sustaining 1.5mbps and for oscar try these settings just followw these simple rules one, open cablenut then two, clear current settings three, save to registry four, load custom settings then save to registry. then restart. and click ur done.
  21. ok when u open up command, and enter that nothing special is really suppose to come out, all it does is just resets ur tcpip, and the direcway utillity, i reffer to LCCU_4.0.3.12 that u can get from direcway. and all it does is that it adjusts ur settings to suit ur direceway needs, and AFD is located in ur registry start>run>regedit> once u open ur registry go to Hkey_local_machine>system>currentcontrolset>services>AFD then go under were it says Parameter and make sure its all set to default. if u have any more questions feel free to ask
  22. yea true, but u knw the difference, well the diff is that, that setting ur telling me about only works with Dw4000 versions, and mine is a DW6000 and mine does not have that on my comp, u see what im saying. but the settings i posted work excellent for me, i had a friend show me that he told me other stuff but i cant post them on them online. i only posted that cause its basic stuff
  23. ok i think i found a tip to maintain continual good download and upload speeds. ok open up start>Run> enter "command" with out the Quotes. then enter "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" also without the quotes this will then reset ur ip settings to default, then after u do that, run ur direcway utility, run it and make sure u select reconfigure settings, after u do that restart ur somputer, then open up ur internet explorer and put back ur proxy to 192.168.0.1:87 then close ur window then open it up again, then keep doing test to see if u get the same results one after another after another. this should work good. please post results P.S. make sure u delete any settings in AFD and leave the to default, make sure u do this before the restart.
