Yes when you have a cable connection you do share bandwith with your neighbors, anyway you should be getting pretty close to advertised speeds, in your case at least 1.2Mbps, also you mention you get 183Kbps but didnt specify up or down,anyway seems to me its upload. If thats your down speed you have a big problem, go to www.speeguide.net

Kaspersky Anti Hacker works fine in my windows machine same as kaspersky anti virus, they really do a good job

I usually use a power mac DP, with OSX 10.4, my usual downloads speed is bout 3.2 Mb with a 270Kb upload, the same connection makes a lot better in windows bout  4.5Mb down. and 440 kb up, my conecction is adelphia 4Mb/384

Try going to www.speedguide.net, go to tools and download TCP Optimizer, this litthe program will optimize your settings, it really works for me, i also have adelphia

I also have been having slow speeds with my adelphia yesterday, got some better today, still slow.

download speed is good according to advertise speeds, uploads no so good, what does not make sense is price, thats way to high, i pay the same for 4Mb/512

usually go to advanced features, and check you memory frequency should de a 133 mhz, also in con be a jumper in the mobo

Computer self rebooting is usually a overheated cpu/mobo/case or defective memory and in some cases it coud even de power supply, firt check your processor fan, if it looks ok and you have 2 memory modules, try removing one and testing one and vice-versa, if youre pc has only one memory module try borrowing one from a friend, also keep your pc case, dust-free with compressed air can.

Hey, thats why i bont buy anything with the sony brand, good for nothing, my EOS20D camera uses a CF memory card, 2GB bout $160, a sony 2GB memory card will be bout the price of my EOS.

I recently had problem with my powermac G4 DP, it did not start up, in a visit  in The Mall at Millenia, Orlando Fl. i visited the MAC Genious Store, those guys were really slow to solve my problems on a talk basis, they all gave me a diferrent opinion, from Processor, Power Supply, Mobo, Not a single technician mentioned a MB Battery, $3.50 cost.

Are those guys at The Millenia Mall the MAC Experts????

there are a nice set of tools in www.speedguide.net, you con use broadband optimizer to take the most out of your broadband conection, if you do decide to use it my recomendation is to use version 1., By the way wich service do you have, Liberty,DSL or Adelphia.

I think Maxthon is just like a plug in or add - on features to IE (internet explorer) even firefox is in the patch target, sometimes im convinced that we will never have a respectable browser, i have 7 in my quick launch bar, not adding any more, more likely to delete a couple.

Whatever you are paying for is indeed very low in speed, check your nic card, cabling, router or modem settings.
