  4. My signal strenth pretty much stays at 89% I do see at 91% time to time. Here is my speed test: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 1416 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 173 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (main) Test Time:: Mon May 23 2005 11:47:32 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time) Bottom Line:: 25X faster than 56K 1MB download in 5.92 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 71.84 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-K48T0XS9W After veiwing some of the signal strenths here I feel pretty lucky. One trick I have learned is to keep the sat waxed with a good car wax! However I do have a question. To recieve a stronger signal will the satellite need to be moved? Is the any other options to recieve a stronger signal? Thanks Mike (Louisiana)
  5. This is my connection with an 89% signal strenth. :::.. DW-4000 I think. One trick I have learned was to wax the dish with a car wax. However, I am intrested in how to up my signal strenth. Thanks, Mike (Louisiana)
  6. I have been with Direcway for three years or better. Not really sure! Here is my stat with an 89% signal strenth. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 1364 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 167 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (main) Test Time:: Mon May 23 2005 11:01:29 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time) Bottom Line:: 24X faster than 56K 1MB download in 6.13 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 65.53 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-6XQ1GTLHJ I have the older Modems. I think the D-4000 2-way. I have been looking for a cheaper service. I am to afraid to swap because of the speed I have now. The research I have done shows Direcway to be the best option for Sat internet. This is just my opinion. However I would love to recieve advice on how to get better signal strenth.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike (Louisiana)
