  1. why?  how much cheaper is it?

Well right now my Comcast internet is about $60/Mo. with 8/768, modem and taxes.

Our phone is about $75 a month but that's with a lot of features we don't even use.

The new SBC bundled, will be $12.99/Mo. for ADSL 1.5/384 and the phone with less features is $29.99/Mo. + taxes and unlisted # will be under $55.00/Mo.

So that saves us over $80.00/Mo. Close to a grand a year !

But I guarantee after that year contract, I'm back to Comcast Internet.... ;)

  2. real nice  :D

    Thanks man......

Guess I better enjoy for now... Just signed up for SBC DSL.....UGH !

We got a new A/V system LCD HDTV, DVD recorder, Surround amp and speakers. and one thing led to another so we got digital cable and HBO and DVR.

So now it's time to cut back on the internet and phone service.

Only for a year though. ( the year of hell )...... :haha:

  4. sorry, i just thought it was a funny arguement and when you said that i used that smiley. i didnt mean to make it seem like i was mad or anything. :)

That's cool man, no hard feelings here.....

I just don't want you to think I was cutting on you for having the PSU hanging out of the case, I was just trying to say that might be a solution.

Hell there have been times I have had the whole computer hanging out of the case.....  :haha:

    Peace !  ;)

  5. What's your problem starship, my comment was to RTB who said that's not the purpose of a power supply to help pull heat from a case, my first reply to you was just trying to help you figure out why your H.D. was getting so hot, and IMO whether or not RTB agrees, the power supply does help in air circulation and dissipation of heat.

If you don't like some peoples free advice then don't use it, simple as that.

As far as RTB goes he serves no real purpose but to troll anyway so whatever.

  6. But that's not the right way. If the power supply doesn't get somewhat cool air then it might overheat. The fans in the power supply aren't meant for removing hot air from the case.

OK.......The right way is to have the power supply hanging out of the case..

    sorry, my bad  :haha:

  7. i figured that but i wanted to make sure but its not like i need it badly because really is my basically only storage computer (its so old and it even has the power supply outside of my case right now) Thanks for the answer  :)

That could be some of the problem also, the PSU will usually pull a lot of heat from inside the case.

  8. I guess I did not read far enough.

I guess we both did MYRIAGON

But I wonder if he checked in safe mode.  ;)   :icon_scratch:

HOw do youget birdcrap off anyway?  :haha:

    Yeah I missed that...

Bird crap.........I guess that's something I'd let my wife figure out.... :haha:

  11. Yes I have drove a Corvair, but I didn't know it till tonight  :icon_scratch:

My dad used to own a hardware, and in the early days when I was about 6YO My brother let me sit on his lap and drive our store truck all the time, looking back in my later years I always thought it was a Ford Econoline truck, but while looking at the corvairs I noticed they had one that looks a lot like the Ford but I noticed the Corvair had the the gate at the side instead of the rear and that's how our old truck was.

    So I learned something new.

I put some pix below of the Ford/Dodge/Chevy p/u trucks, they look almost the same.

I never even knew Dodge made one till I saw one on Overhaulin last week, It turned out sweet.

  12. MYRIAGON ;I almost had it I was finding it when you posted. If I hadn't checked out one called the Fitch Phoenix first I would have posted before you did.O well maybe next time.

1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza GT Concept

cholla....Sorry about that......I should have waited a bit.

    Looking at this site http://www.shorey.net/Auto/American/GM/Chevrolet/Corvair/htmltree.html

I never realized they experimented so much with the Corvair, GM had some nice designs happening.
