    :3some: Fios :3some:

Man that is sweet.........Love that upload.. ;)

  2. Why MYRIAGON, was that in the rules somewhere?  :confused1:

So cholla' should have been answered first then.  ;)

Another strong clue on the Caddy.  :D

The person on the hood got it as a present for singing a song.  :whaa:

    ?????......What rules ?

    You lost me there

  3. Well considering my location I guess this is an OK speed.

I just wish the FIOS would be extended from "Old" Aubrey and Krugerville (and the FIOS are not even being used and I do not know who owns them.  I just saw signs denoting the location of lines while walking having a smoke one day on the 377 in "old" Aubery).

Hi jammy.......For being in the sticks I think you are doing real good , close to your cap of 7000 ........ ;)

  4. MYRIAGON,I think it might be a Bugatti by the length of the hood.

Good one coknuck.....It is a Bugatti.

I was going to wait and see if anyone knew what set this apart from any other Bugatti, or any other car in the world , but I'll post it now.. :D

    The World's Most Expensive Car

The world's most expensive car is up for sale. And whether or not you think it's worth the estimated $10 million asking price, it's no doubt exceedingly rare, beautiful and--like many follies in automotive history--a triumph of hubris over reason.

This Bugatti Type 41 Royale was the brainchild of Ettore Bugatti--and also a hugely expensive misstep in the history of his firm. In the 1920s, Bugatti was expecting to get a contract from the French military to build 16-cylinder aircraft engines. The contract never materialized, but Bugatti felt he could use half that engine, a straight eight, to form one of the most amazing luxury cars in history.

The Type 41 Royale engine had massive displacement: 12.7 liters, or over 700 cubic inches, roughly twice the size of most of the largest production V-8s that would be built by Detroit four decades later. This is still the largest engine of any car to be sold privately.

Equally massive was the 15-foot wheelbase which, when bodied, stood about five feet tall at the hood alone. The car was incredibly imposing, whether in limousine or coupe form. Unfortunately, however, nobody could afford them--production began right at the start of the Great Depression.

A mere six Royale's were produced and two were never sold, staying instead with the Bugatti estate. This car, the 1930 Bugatti Type 41 Royale Kellner Coach (or 'Coupe') was one of those cars (bricked up behind a false wall during World War II). It stayed with the family until 1950 when both cars were sold to American multimillionaire Briggs Cunningham, who was himself a sports car constructor and Le Mans 24-Hours racing driver. After more than 30 years of ownership, Cunningham eventually sold the car to fellow American auto connoisseur Miles Collier, who placed the Kellner Coach up for auction in 1987.

The car sold for a record

  5. cholla........

My uncle had a pickup just like that from the time when I was in diapers, and he had it till I was late in my teens.

To this day ( at age 82 ) he still drives a NISSAN pickup, brand new though  ;)

Not sure about the year (guessing) around 60-61 Datsun and or Nissan pickup, I don't know the model name though.

  6. If you dont know Comcast offers a few membership to a few game sites for free with their 8mb service. Ive had the 8mb server for a while now and I saw this and wanted to get it. So i went here http://www.comcast.net/games/invasion/sales/index2.jsp and click on already have the 8mb service click here. But it just brought me to another page that talks about the service itself not activating my membership. No matter where I go or what I click on nothing about a registration for it comes up. I was just wondering if I had to call Comcast or is there a trick?

I just checked it out and I had to be logged in for it it to go to the Reg. page.

So try going to Comcast home and sign in, then go here http://www.comcast.net/games/invasion/sales/  and click on "Activate your founders club account now" That should take you to the activation page.

  7. Yeah.....I'm near Lansing and they seem to have it pretty much together.

I have had it spike near 30meg at times, depends on traffic I guess.

  8. 1956 Oldsmobile Golden Rocket

The body of the two-passenger Golden Rocket was made of fiberglass. The roof panels lifted to ease entry into the car, and the instrument pod was in the center of the steering wheel. The car's Rocket V8 engine produced 275 horsepower.

At first glance I was thinking T-Bird because of the tail end.

Had me stumped though till I found it on the net.....

  9. Eeeeh I want more upload :P

Me too.......Love the Powerboost download though.....  :D

  10. MYRIAGON ;This is the ones you posted.

1954 Corvette Nomad Wagon Concept. Chevy developed a series of concept vehicles based on the new Corvette. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint), the Corvette part of the equation never materialized. Of course, Chevy did release the Nomad the following year under the the Belair line. As far as I know, this is the only one ever made by Chevy.

    LOL.....Very good ! ... ;)

The "54" f-85 you posted reminded me of the "54" Corvette-Nomad Concept I saw a few years ago when looking at other concepts, So I had to post those pix........ :D

  11. hello ctlenator....Welcome to the forum.

Try going to control panel / Sounds and audio devices / Sounds.

In the list of sounds at the bottom, scroll down to the "Start Navigation" sound and click on it, then in the dropdown box choose "None" and apply.

    Hope that's what you're looking for.... ;)

  12. Hi philip....

If all else fails you might try going to System Properties/ Hardware/ Device Manager and go to view and put a check next to "show hidden devices" Then go down the device tree to keyboards and click the + and remove anything keyboard related and restart system.

Upon reboot it should find the keyboard and reinstall the drivers automatically.

    Good luck .......

  13. it's not ?.........Oh OK you're right I get that speed all the time.

I know it's only temporary as I have stated in other posts.

Oh and by the way it doesn't last through half the download, it's more of a time constrained boost, that download screenshot I showed took about 2 Min. total for 266 Megs. it started at about 4MB/s and toward the end of the download it was down to about 1.7 MB/s

Plus I am on the 8Meg plan so it would be obvious I would get a little better than yours ;)

  14. Yes PowerBoost is a good thing... :D
