VanBuren Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 hey Revo Im very happy with mine, the only problem i used to have was that SPI didnt allow me to use windows scaling and a RWIN above 65535. I have to use my crappy linksys again and have to wait once again for another router to arrive. richcornucopia Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 That sucks, the 4300 is one of the best routers out right now.
Swimmer Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Yeah it is a nice router... I dont have one but just looking at the support pages and emulator it look like it is nice.. REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Yeah.. rma that sucker.. and get something for free!! Yup, thats what I'm going to do because this is my 3rd RMA. That sucks, the 4300 is one of the best routers out right now. I know, thats why I didnt expect this to happen.
REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted January 15, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 "game fuel" Talking about that, when I had gamefuel on it would decrease my upload by half. I was talking to Van since he has one and gamefuel didnt slow him as much as it did me.
richcornucopia Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 Maybe gamefuel reserves some upload for certain ports, or you can specify a certain ip addres. Did you check out what settings gamefuel had cause it could be doing something like qos does for windows.
VanBuren Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 gamefuel reserves some upload bandwidth, if i use automeasure upload speed in router it set my maximal speed to 9.2 Mbps not 10 Mbps, so i loose approx 1 Mbps upstream with gamefuel enabled also you might need to adjust priority this setup is not finished VanBuren

VanBuren Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 you have 2% loss against your adress (router) thats not much the linequality test should give the same result with any router or without router the test is done from a separate server against the route to your PC, so the big loss against those redmarked hops has nothing to do with your router or PC. REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted January 31, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 31, 2006 I have gotten my new DGL-4300 and it is working extremely better than the first one. Now I am able to connect wirelessly to my laptop and Game Fuel works way better. The uplink measurement is more accurate... I will post some pics of it later on. It is one of the best routers out their right now for gamers.
