FallowEarth Posted January 13, 2006 CID Share Posted January 13, 2006 Road Runner currently uses the Level 3 backbone for the most part. I'm not sure about a couple of years ago.
emoxandrew Posted January 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 is level 3 good?
richcornucopia Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Not really, I've been having lots of trouble with my level 3 pings.
FallowEarth Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 There are ongoing issues with latency through the Level 3 backbone. This affects many ISP's. If you're seeing high times in a traceroute on your RR connection, please post here to help us track it: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=11000
Blunted 2 Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 my isp also uses level 3 and i see nothing wrong with it for me with both of my lines that use it. my other line passes through it to and its fine. FallowEarth Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 That's a strange network Eebobb. But yes, most the time the use of Level 3 will be fine. But some ISP's have better links to them than others, and some times of day are much better than others. But Level 3 seems to be getting more consistent.
