ch34p5hot Posted January 20, 2006 CID Share Posted January 20, 2006 I have my xbox hooked up to my PC and my internet hooked up to my PC. i bridge the two connections and everything looks fine but when i try and log onto xbox live it cant find my ip address or my dns. is there any way to fix this. i need the connection to stay bridged so i can bridge for host so people do mod me. I'm using a crossover cable for xbox to PC and a normal Cat 5 ethernet for the internet modem to the PC.
FallowEarth Posted January 20, 2006 CID Share Posted January 20, 2006 If you ISP uses DHCP, I would remove the bridge and get the DNS server info from the local area connection. Then use that info for the XBox on the bridged connection. IP you can likely specify to a 192.168.

FallowEarth Posted January 20, 2006 CID Share Posted January 20, 2006 right-click local area connection, remove from bridge. click start, click run, type cmd and click ok type: ipconfig/all and hit enter you will see the DNS info.
