php Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 No... the reverse DNS lookup just didn't work right for some reason... it doesn't have anything to do with your computer...
FallowEarth Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 When you run ipconfig from the command prompt, does the connection-specific DNS suffix say rr.com? It may be the reverse DNS engine, or it may be software altering your IP info. (on a direct connection) if your IP address listed in ipconfig matches what you see from whatismyip.com then you're fine, it's an issue on this end. FallowEarth Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 thanks for the help i think i got it figured out ipcofig says indy.rr.com That should be fine, your email address is probably @indy.rr.com, so you're connection is good.
