Ethernet will be much faster than wireless. Ethernet will be 100mbps (not likely that you have gigabit) and wireless will be 54mbps, some have a turbo mode of 108 but wired will generally be faster and more efficent. So under ideal conditions with 100 ethernet you could transfer 12.2 megs a second.

i get around this speed average but if i tweak it for lan and use my faster comps i can get way faster but this seems to be the best for lan and internet.  for some reason i cant get lan super fast without messing up the internet speed but this is fast enough for now.

If your going to connect 2 desktops togehter Without a router MAKE SURE you use a RJ-45 Crossover cable to do so!!!!!!t

thank you guys for the info, helps alot

best way to share 2 desktops just plug ethernet into both conecting them? as im using wireless on both at the same time but both comps are close together
