abzon Posted February 22, 2006 CID Share Posted February 22, 2006 Hi, I have SBC dsl and for about 6 months off and on have been having problems with what seems to be surging my connection when working is faster than promised at times , but is like a it goes from 0 to full speed coast back down then after about 2 min back to full speed again I have talked to SBC tech did a rip and rebuild and was told I cold do 4mps if it was available . I have changed the nic card wires everything but the modem. I did the test here this morning and got :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 296 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Upload Speed is:: 36 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Wed Feb 22 06:37:30 PST 2006 Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 28.44 sec Diagnosis: Looks Great : 10.86 % faster than the average for host (pacbell.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-E1Q9Y0MHD and Download Speed is:: 72 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Wed Feb 22 06:50:16 PST 2006 Bottom Line:: 11X faster than 56K 1MB download in 14.22 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 32.85 % of your hosts average (pacbell.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-FNSXBZTLV Any Ideas?????
