Guest thecableguy Posted March 20, 2006 CID Share Posted March 20, 2006 Yep....that could be your problem alright...make sure you aren't running any firewall software (not that it should matter...unless of course it's running way too high). RAINMAKA Posted March 20, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 20, 2006 i ran it twice because the first time my firewall was on and i thought that the firewall might be causing this problem. so i disabled my firewall and got the test that i posted above. Then you have serious issues....I would contact my ISP and have them get someone on that.
RAINMAKA Posted March 20, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 20, 2006 so most likely its not something wrong on my end? its something that should be corrected on my isp's side? ill give them a call tomorrow, unfortunately i do not have 24/7 tech support

FallowEarth Posted March 21, 2006 CID Share Posted March 21, 2006 Pings and trace look really good. Error code 65 is a firewall (usually one utilizing the True Vector Internet Monitor, such as ZoneAlarm) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316414 Often times, just shutting down ZA from the system tray leaves the process running. You then need to end vsmon.exe from the task manager. Better yet, remove it from startup and reboot.
