fred Posted April 4, 2006 CID Share Posted April 4, 2006 :?I've had a strange occurrence. At one time in my computers life, actually it was in the beginning when I built it as a matter of fact. I bought one stick @512mgs of ram (dimm), it was before you could install the big memory sticks like a 1000mgs. Well any way I have only got 384 mgs now . The system is a P4 1.7gig processor the OS is XP home sp2 and the networking is adsl. coknuck Posted April 4, 2006 CID Share Posted April 4, 2006 Onboard video shares your ram. Mine uses 64meg of ram. In bios I can use 128 or 64 meg. It also subtracts what it uses so if you got 512meg and video uses 128meg you are left with 384meg of ram.
