jamaicarocks Posted April 26, 2006 CID Share Posted April 26, 2006 Wuz up, I am using windows xp pro with 2 different login names .....both are Admins...yet when when I'm in user1 work area I can see user2's folder from "docs and settings" but cant access or even open the folder ..it says the folder is empty!............How do I access the folder or change this .....(Is it somthing to do with indexing) Thank you! richcornucopia Posted April 26, 2006 CID Share Posted April 26, 2006 I think xp has the option for user accounts to make their files hidden from other users, that might be what is happening to you, you can see them but not access them and thats what microsoft calls hidden, maybe. I believe that is a setting about that folder be private.. The only way that i know of allowing you to see the folders.. is to go into user accounts... delete the passwords, then reset the password. At the end you will be prompted to either make the doc folder private or public. click no.. that should give anyone access to those folders.
