I think if you check out the "tweaking" section you should be able to squeeze some more out of it.

These are my comcast scores with the same package.

i have really no idea what you mean by 6/384 package. im kinda new to Comcast right now so please explain so i can better to answer you question.

Thanks :)

Almost every ISP will have different packages that they sell. Comcast has a basic package for a certain emount of money. If you want more speed they will sell you more and charge you more money

3/256 (this maybe the basic package) this a 3Mbps down and 256Kbps up

6/384 (6Mbps down and 384Kbps up)

8/750 (8Mbps down and 750Kbps up)

NOTE: I don't have comcast so I don't know the plans...this was just to explain to you what the those numbers mean.

yea... he has the plans right. except in most areas they don't even offer the 4mbps speeds.

comcast used to be like this...

4/256 (this a 3Mbps down and 256Kbps up) $42.95

6/384 (6Mbps down and 384Kbps up) $55.95

Now they have upgraded their speeds to this....

6/384 (6Mbps down and 384Kbps up) $42.95

8/750 (8Mbps down and 750Kbps up) $55.95

but not all areas are upgraded yet. So on their site it states that speeds can range from 4mbps to 8mbps download in general.

You really don't need to even worry about the 8mbps unless you are a hardcore gamer. I remember when people used to play bf2 and pay the extra for 6mbps a month and they thought they were the ****. Now that they offer 8mbps...the need really isn't there to upgrade (except for those people who HAD 6mbps now have 8mbps) unless you download HUGE files or you use your computer as a public FTP/ website.
