massey Posted May 9, 2006 CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 I have seen how some can put a word in a post and when you click on it it takes you to the website. Example I would type the word "speedtest" and if you click on it it would take you to say testmy.net download test. I was just wondering how is that done. I mean if its a long complicated have to understand how to write script then never mind. If there is a simple easy way of doing it that would be a cool little trick to learn. Thank you all much. massey Posted May 9, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 Sorry dlewis. For some reason I don't get it. Do you type in the post some type of code ?? Then after you type in the code how do you make it "the word" you want it to say and link it to site you want it to. Example. I want to put a link in a post that would direct the reader to this web site........http://www.lvllord.de/. I just want to type in "you can find the patch" "here" The "here" word providing the link to the website.

massey Posted May 9, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 9, 2006 Again. Sorry. I must not be explaining myself right or we are simply not on the same page. How do I myself put that code into the post I am writing? Can I just copy and paste the address the put in (url) before and after the address and that gives me the code needed? After the code is put in how do I turn it into one simple word. I know it has to be easy. I am sure I am missing something simple. I will get this. I will understand it darn it. My mind is set. Gonna learn it. While I apreciate your help. I need someone to tech me how to do it myself. Thank you.
