dlewis23 Posted May 11, 2006 CID Share Posted May 11, 2006 S7R1D3R your download is probally about the best that you are going to get. but one thing that you should do is do a test with a larger file, they file that you used is too small for your connection, try this one then post your results. http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=2992&st=st&ta=&top=

tommie gorman Posted May 14, 2006 CID Share Posted May 14, 2006 Welcome to the forum cleef. The edwido is his only AV, the others are anti spywares. Which it is necessary to have a few of those. S7R1D3R how many unnecessary services are running in the background? That you only need when you want them. Example, Quicktime only needs to run when you want it, not all the time. Is there a messenger service like MSN running?
S7R1D3R Posted May 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 14, 2006 nothing, only ZoneAlarm, ewido, and Stopzilla are on the background
dlewis23 Posted May 14, 2006 CID Share Posted May 14, 2006 S7R1D3R the number of services running on your computer wont matter, because in your case, the distance factor is all that is holding you back. if you were closer to the CO then your speeds would be faster.
