darkverto Posted June 17, 2006 CID Share Posted June 17, 2006 Hey all just subscribed to the SBC(Att) DSL ELITE and speed has not increased, i logged into my modem and it says my downstream is 6mbps but ran several speed tests and getting same results. I have checked for viruses/spyware and clean as needed daily but speed just stays the same. Running the 2wire modem on a wireless connection...but have tried w/ a network cable connected and achieved same results. Here is my speed test: :::.. I've tried taking down the firewall and other little stuff here and there but no results have been noticed. I have yet to call SBC because it has been about 2 weeks since I've recieved the "NEW" faster service but i am still right where I was before i upgraded. dlewis23 Posted June 17, 2006 CID Share Posted June 17, 2006 darkverto i would call SBC about it, they have tools that will tell you if you will ever be able to get close to the 6mbps
darkverto Posted June 17, 2006 Author CID Share Posted June 17, 2006 Yeah definetely I will call them, I'm not really concerned with getting the MAXIMUM amount but I would appreciate being higher than my service that was 20 bucks cheaper heh
