JustaDude Posted July 4, 2006 CID Share Posted July 4, 2006 I asked to have my service with Charter changed from 5Mb/sec to 10Mb/sec. Well, they screwed up my service by changing my MAC address to an old modem's MAC I no longer use. But just prior to that I was getting speeds like this: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 34278 Kbps about 34.28 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 4184 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 2) Test Time:: 2006/07/01 - 6:43am Bottom Line:: 598X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 0.24 sec Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 2.906 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 996.19 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-9JG7B3STL User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060630 Minefield/3.0a1 [!] Things went back to 5Mb/sec when they screwed up my MAC address. I got that corrected and now I am getting stats more like this: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 8781 Kbps about 8.78 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1072 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/07/03 - 5:20pm Bottom Line:: 153X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 0.96 sec Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 11.344 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 180.81 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-KOSBDQE2L User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060702 Minefield/3.0a1 [!]
