kennybgood Posted January 15, 2005 CID Share Posted January 15, 2005 New to this forum, but not to computers. Does anyone know of speed boosters for Macs? I have an awesome iMac G5 1.8 GHz w/satellite connection. Every now and then, the speed drops to VERY slow. I am connected to a wireless router which sends a signal to my son's computer in the next room. Any advice appreciated!!
MICROWAVE Posted January 15, 2005 CID Share Posted January 15, 2005 kennybgood, Welcome to the forum, I hope you will enjoy and tell your friends about TESTMY.NET.... I think your the first MAC tweaker I have seen here and IMO the place to start is with your Sat connection my guess is that may be where you get slowdowns, we have a very knowledge moderator here named Reverend that knows his stuff with Sat you can find him in the DirecWay forum......good luck and keep visiting.... kennybgood Posted January 15, 2005 Author CID Share Posted January 15, 2005 It's hard to believe there aren't more Mac users in a great place like this. My son uses an HP, and is quite pleased with it, but I've always preferred the Mac OS, so hey, it's all good, IMHO!!! Glad to be here, and will take your good advice. kbg
