This is an Adelphia (now Time-Warner) network. My cable modem is a Moto SB5100. I pay for 6000/768. The techs here are seriously numb. The guy I had here today told me that since I'm getting 400K down, that's all they're responsible for and then he left. So now I turn to you. If this should've been posted in the "help" forum I apologize. Link to the tweak test on dsl reports: http://www.dslreports.com/tweakr/block:49f15d8?service=cable&speed=6000&os=winXP&via=normal My machine: AMD Athlon X2 3800+ ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 2GB Corsair XMS Platinum 2 500GB SATA II HDD's Creative X-Fi Platnium eVGA 7900GT Signature Series Windows XP SP2 and Fedora Core 5 Every possible idea will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I have tried running cablenut with my own custom settings made for MTU 1500, 6000/768 from their site.

dlewis23 Posted August 23, 2006 CID Share Posted August 23, 2006 thats much better but your stil alittle slow, have you tried any tweaking to get you over the 6mb advertised.
Volvo_Guy Posted August 23, 2006 Author CID Share Posted August 23, 2006 Yeah, I'm currently using cablenut. I've tried tweaking from dslreports.com too. Nothing seems to do the trick with either of the onboard NIC's. I find a lot of conflicting info out there. Cablenut settings, according to dslreports tweaktest, are not suitable, and then I'll read on another forum that both values are way off. It's a never ending battle. I'm just thankful to be over 1mbit again. Any suggestions are always welcome. I also have a box with Kubuntu Linux on it, and it's just as slow which leads me to believe it's all hardware issues. Thanks for the reply.
