Swimmer Posted September 23, 2006 CID Share Posted September 23, 2006 You have to burn the files as an ISO file onto a dvd.. then you can boot it and install it.
biker9075 Posted September 23, 2006 CID Share Posted September 23, 2006 You don't need to burn to a DVD, Daemon tools work just as good

disturbed Posted September 24, 2006 CID Share Posted September 24, 2006 how can deamon tools work if you have to boot from the actual iso to install windows - if it was an upgrade it could be done from within windows and then you could use deamon tools or anything similar
biker9075 Posted September 24, 2006 CID Share Posted September 24, 2006 It wasn't an upgrade, I install vista from a blank partition. It installs part from XP then after it does its first restart bootmanager gives you an option of continuing the installation of vista and somehow it has enouph info to install the rest of it. Guest kamil234 Posted September 24, 2006 CID Share Posted September 24, 2006 yeah i got it on a different partition so if something goes wrong i'll just use XP.
