dwilliams Posted October 28, 2006 CID Share Posted October 28, 2006 Hi, I have been testing my line for a few days now having upgraded my broadband to 6.5mb. This site gives me the following: Your connection is: 721 Kbps or 0.7 Mbps You Downloaded at: 88 kB/s You are running: 13 times faster than 56K and can Download 1 megabyte in 11.64 second(s) Member Ident:Username:dwilliams CompID:8080169991314 Test Time:: 2006/10/28 - 3:32pm Test Browser and OS info: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Test ID: R57NAWQ39 (if this is a screenshot go to testmy.net to see if this is fake) Diagnosis ^info^: May need help : running at only 35.48 % of your hosts average (as9105.com) This was tested from a 748 kB file and took 8.5 seconds to complete I get this consistently every time I run the test. It's the only site that gives me a rubbish result. The others (about 6 of them) all give me between 4 and 6 mb downloadload and around 330 upload. I use Firefox 2.0 as a browser. I'd be interested to know if anyone has had the same experience or had any Firefox issues? Cheers The Big Zz
Sparticus Posted October 28, 2006 CID Share Posted October 28, 2006 Well from the way you talk you sound like your somewhere in Europe. If you are using servers 1 and 2 those are in Texas, USA. Try a server in your area.

tommie gorman Posted October 30, 2006 CID Share Posted October 30, 2006 Welcome to the forum dwilliams FIrst of all just calm down. It sounds like he was making a guess that you might be over seas. Not really knowing from your original post, who knew. Second do you clean out your temp files before testing? It is needed for this site testing. There are several on here from the UK. I hope you enjoy your time here. Also a copy and paste will give a validation of your test, and also give other info in which we may help you further.
