dn0 Posted November 9, 2006 CID Share Posted November 9, 2006 I remember it being like 27 If your SNR is fluctating from like 27 to 38dB, then there is a problem. Have you have any problems the last few days?

Good question. The ethernet port and the USB port each have their own MAC address, so you would think you can use them both separately. You could try 2 separate computers and see if the modem will assign two separate IP addresses at the same time. This may be what is stopping you, your ISP may not allow it. Actually the answer to that question is no. There are only a couple of modems out there that actually allow you to use both the USB and Ethernet port at the same time. Arris is not one of the mfrs. Now if you have a Toshiba modem you can and your isp probably won't mind adding the extra IP. Thing is to get someone that actually knows about the Toshibas features....many reps will have no idea what you are talking about.

Maybe you had some sort of line problem for a short period that was fixed that day. Hopefully it holds up for you from now on.
