Storm311 Posted December 1, 2006 CID Share Posted December 1, 2006 NIce D Do you know if Comcast is planning on doing anything with their UL? Don't think so, I don't think they are too worried about it for some reason, but I may be upgrading this weekend so we'll see what I can pull afterwards. tommie gorman Posted December 4, 2006 CID Share Posted December 4, 2006 I guess you do know anything can be an avatar, Sammy_C. Only limited to your time to search the web. Just FYI. What were you looking for when you came down to those two for choices. Maybe I could help in your search.

tommie gorman Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 Nice car. And cable does not like the country. Only cheap hope is DSL. *crosses fingers again*
Sammy_C Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 Ok, where in the country do you live?
tommie gorman Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 5 miles from civilization. In any 3 directions. DSL is like 1/4 mile from my house. The phone co. says when they get around to it. My satelite contract is up, so I can switch anytime I please. 64068 zip. Not sure it will make any difference. Sammy_C Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 Liberty, MO? Seems as though IT shoud be a little more developed than you're saying it is. And even so - you already know that DSL is limited by distance...you may not get the speeds you're hoping for if/when you do switch.
tommie gorman Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 I am 5 miles from Liberty city limits. And the DSL is newly installed there. It was installed for a new neighborhood, that has not had a house built on it yet. It is supposed to support 6.0 according to my brother in law who works for SBC. I would do a dance for 3.0. And no storm interference. Or soon due icing on the dish. And save big bucks. $$ I pay $59.95 now and 3.0 is $24.95 I believe.
Sammy_C Posted December 7, 2006 CID Share Posted December 7, 2006 Well, if that's the best you can get....I guess you're gonna have to go for it. If you ever have the opportunity to get cable though....pounce all over it!
