Sparticus Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 That's ok for wireless and your connection. Have you tried tweaking?
breadboi Posted November 12, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 No I haven't. It probably won't go any faster. I get the same speed as my desktop outside connected through ethernet on a 3/512 line as well.

tommie gorman Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 You might try reading here. Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 A dirty computer can not run fast. Then try tweaking. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013 And welcome to the forum breadboi if I haven't already. TCP Optimizer is the easiest, and cablenut is the most tweakable. breadboi Posted November 12, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 My desktop is about 2 weeks old only, so I don't think it has a matinence problem. I normally check for spyware/viruses/clear cache/ and do disk matience and get the same speeds. The only thing I haven't tried is tweaking the registry. Well do that (if you want to ) and then show us your speeds.
breadboi Posted November 12, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 Hm I was looking through some of the guides, and one of them says never connect through USB, always ethernet. What's wrong with USB? I used USB for a while and it seemed fine.

What's wrong with USB? I used USB for a while and it seemed fine. What were the differences between the speeds of both. Ethernet is supposed to be faster. Also I do maintenance daily. It does help. I am so used to it running right, it bugs me when it is off just a bit now.
