If you splurge only once in a while, you can afford more. It would not be bad on a 1 story true ranch. And I have some very large pin oaks right in front on either side of the porch (at least 50'tall). Power cords are relatively cheap. Like $10 for 100'ers. Not this year, but doable for next year though. Now my mother-in-law would just die. She could no way out do that. She would never lay out that much $$. Ha ha ha.
