Psycho! Posted December 30, 2006 CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 I'm subscribed to a 384/192kbps line and normally I would get good speeds 350-380kbps .Just a few days ago (after the Taiwan earthquake), my speed doubled. So I'm worried they might send me a 2x bill. Should I call them up and tell them to fix it, or is it something they won't know about? :::.. Psycho! Posted December 30, 2006 Author CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 Thanks. That's the fastest available in my area. Damn. I was thinking it's one thing if your speed halfs. But if it doubles, I'm sure my ISP would do something about it...
resopalrabotnick Posted December 30, 2006 CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 you should be an upstanding citizen and inform them of their error. or you can just wait and see what happens...
tommie gorman Posted December 30, 2006 CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 Yeah right Reso. Just enjoy it. It might also be since so many others go knocked offline leaving more bandwidth for you and select others. I seriously doubt they will even bother. It will probably just go back to normal. Hurry up a download some things.
Psycho! Posted December 30, 2006 Author CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 Yeah, I've been downloading stuff 24/7 since it got doubled. So yeah probably it will go back to normal. But if there is something wrong with the bill, my parents gonna think that I asked my ISP to upgrade my plan. That means no more internets for me. So that's the only reason I'm worried, but I would still wait and see what happens.

tommie gorman Posted December 30, 2006 CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 So show your parents. Honesty is the best policy. I am sure they will understand. That way you are covered.
Psycho! Posted December 30, 2006 Author CID Share Posted December 30, 2006 I'm located in the Philippines. I just did a test with my ISP's bandwidth meter at www.pldtplay.com. I got 788kbps. If I show my parents now, they will think that I already upgraded. They have had this problem of not believing me...
